Our platform is different because all the jobs we are scheduling are homogenous. We focus on Locum Tenens work only. By converting the recruitment process to a matchmaking process, we save you time sorting through a mixed bag of opportunities so you can live the life you want.

  1. A folder with recommended credentialing documents (in PDF format). Please visit this link to view our list of recommended credentialing documents to compile. This list is not exhaustive and facilities will ask for more than what is in this list. Get a head start by being ready!  ***Please see our resource page for more help with getting started, setting up an LLC for your business, get malpractice insurance etc.

  2.  We recommend getting your own malpractice insurance based on the number of hours you plan on working as an independent contractor. ***Please see our Resources page for help on how to get insured.

You do not. Lokum™ is designed for Providers to have autonomy to decide when and with whom they work. If you have availability that coincides with a facility’s staffing needs, you can use our app!

We provide a platform that allows Providers the freedom to do what they desire in their careers. Facilities are able to choose the level of experience that they are seeking and will verify all credentials.

You will be able to view the status of your application with the facility in the app through our progress tracking feature. Chatting directly with the facility’s representative is also possible via the app. The next thing you should do is check for credentialing paperwork , which will be sent automatically to your email address.

Yes. Lokum™ allows you to fill up your calendar and you can select either spot days, one or more weeks, and even months-depending on the facility needs/contracts available

The facility can opt to pay your fees via their own established methods. They will obtain account information during the credentialing process. Otherwise, we provide an option for you to be paid directly through the app via PayPal

The facility will remit payment no later than 30 days after the scheduled day is covered by the provider. Most facilities fulfill their payroll on a bimonthly basis. We advise our members to clarify that with the facility during the credentialing process.
